The 2014-2015 Registration Form is now available under "forms" on the left hand side of this home page and registration forms are now being accepted with full payment. Registration fees are $130 for Grades 3-8 and $75 for Grades 1 and 2 .  Please mail the form and fee to the address at the top left corner of the form.  Teams will be limited to 10 players per team and players will be placed on a first come first served basis.

Schedules will be available at the first practice in early November.

SNOW CANCELLATION POLICY: If the Quincy (MA) Public Schools are closed or close early on a practice day due to snow, then there is no practice that night.  If there is snow over the weekend affecting games, coaches will call all players only in the event of a cancellation.  Practice and Game cancellations are also posted on this website in the "NewsFlash" box (at the top of the home page).

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR QUINCY YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAM FOR 2013-2014 SEASON

You must be a resident of Quincy, Massachusetts, to be eligible to play for Quincy Youth Basketball.  

Programs for Boys and Girls in Grades 3-8:  

Our season runs from early November, 2014 to mid February, 2015 with playoffs extending into March. Playoff schedules will be posted after the last regular season games have been played.

THERE WILL BE NO PRACTICES AND/OR GAMES DURING THANKSGIVING (11/27-11/30/2014), CHRISTMAS (12/26-12/28/14) AND NEW YEAR'S (1/2-1/4/15) WEEKENDS.

The first games will be held on the first Sunday in December 2014.  You will receive a game schedule prior to the first game.  Games will be held each Sunday thereafter into February (THERE WILL BE NO GAMES DURING THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR'S WEKENDS - see dates above).

Program for Grades 1 and 2 (Duffy Division) @ Lincoln Hancock School:

This is a co-ed instructional program.  Instruction begins in early November, tentatively scheduled for November 15, 2014.  After Christmas and New Year's break there will be scrimmages during the second half of each practice. The season runs from November 2014 to February 2015.  There will be  no practices during Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's weekends (see dates above).

For the Duffy Division (Grades 1-2):

If your son or daughter is in grades 1-8, and you live in Quincy, Massachusetts, then Quincy Youth Basketball is the league for you!

QYB Travel, Presidents Division:  In 2010, the Quincy Presidents Boys Travel Basketball program became part of Quincy Youth Basketball.  That program is now known as QYB Travel, Presidents Division.  All boys in Grades 6-8 are eligible to try out for the Travel Teams.  Tryouts will be held in October and will be announced at a later date.  Game schedules and additional information can be found on the link at left and are updated as necessary.  The Boys Travel Teams play in the South Shore Youth Basketball League.  All players on the travel teams are required to be active participants in the in-house league.  There is an additional fee to play on the travel teams as well as a uniform deposist.

QYB Travel, Abigail Division (Girls 6-8):  The Girls Travel (Abigail Division) has been postponed for the 2014-2015 season

QYB Travel, Adams Division:  All boys in Grades 4 and 5 are eligible to try out for the preparatory travel program.  This is an in-house program designed to prepare players for the 6th grade travel team.  There is an additional small fee for the preparatory travel program.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL REGISTRATION FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE YOUR CHILD IS PLACED ON A TEAM ROSTER (IN-HOUSE AND TRAVEL).
